Office 2007 Demo's

While the launch of the new Windows Vista operating system has certainly been prevalent in the media, did you know Microsoft also came out with a brand new version of Office? While many contend their current version of Office "works just fine" you owe it to yourself to find out what the improvements to your favorite applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access are.

It has been 4 years since the last version of Office came out and you can bet that Microsoft has listened to their customers to make the new Office 2007 even better. Most importantly, is the new look! Both the familiar Menu Bar and Toolbars are gone! This is unlike any other version of Office because of the changes in the look and feel of the user interface. Applied Tech believes in removing the boundaries between you and technology. We encourage you to check out this free overview with demos of the new look and features of Microsoft Office 2007.

Take a look at these two Office 2007 on-line demonstrations.

Topics

Windows Vista & Office 2007:
Windows Vista is a breakthrough computing experience that will change the way people use their PCs. It works they way they want it to work. It adapts to users, rather than the other way around. And it dramatically improves access to information, wherever that information is stored. The Microsoft Office 2007 system allows individuals to work together, plan, solve problems and embrace opportunities whether they are on the other side of the cubicle or the world.

Mobile Office Technology & Exchange 2007:
Armed with intelligent handheld devices, mobile employees can reduce paperwork and shrink business process cycle times, reducing overall labor requirements and freeing up valuable time for more productive, profitable activities. Mobility also improves communication and customer satisfaction. Learn how Exchange 2007 in combination with Sprint mobile devices can benefit your bottom line.

Microsoft SharePoint:
Collaboration has become an essential force in the workplace as groups of colleagues work together to solve problems, complete projects, and perform other essential day-to-day business operations. In today’s technology-driven marketplace, collaboration translates into team members working on projects, exchanging documents, and sharing ideas by e-mail or accessing documents on file shares Windows SharePoint Services provides a framework for building collaborative Web sites, making it possible for a company to share information and documents across teams, departments, and large organizations easily and reliably

We will also have computers available for you to try out Vista and Office 2007. These demo units will be available all day for your use. If you are not able to attend the seminar drop in and try it out at your convenience.

Vista: To Migrate or Not?

After much ado, Microsoft's newest operating system release in almost five years, Vista became available to business users in November 2006. Vista offers no shortage of visually stunning effects and new features, but these benefits come at a price — namely the need for more powerful and faster PCs. If you are among the many that are considering adopting this new operating system for your small or mid-sized business, there are some important factors you need to consider before you make your decision.

Vista's key benefits
Microsoft developers have built Vista to succeed where previous versions have fallen short. Here are just some of the improvements and features that are part of Vista:

Easier search functionality: Windows Desktop Search enables easier searching, and thumbnail previews of documents allow you to view the contents without opening.

Mobile made easier: If you or your employees routinely make wireless or remote connections, or use handheld devices such as PDAs, then Vista's easy setup and synching functions will save time and enable quick access.
