7 Ways
Technology Saves Money
reprinted with permission from the
Microsoft
Small Business Center
By Jeff Wuorio
Every small business owner
knows that new technology can be pricey.
But technology can also pay
in the form of significant savings-particularly over the long haul.
Savings from technology
isn't just a matter of plugging in a new gizmo and watching the cash
roll in. You have to evaluate your priorities and choose the right
technology that meets your operating and budgetary requirements.
With that approach in mind,
here are seven ways that technology can save your small business money:

Sometimes You Need A Pro
Buying and installing a new server
So, you're going to run
to your favorite PC store and slap in a new server? Unless you are a
certified IT person, allow us to politely offer this piece of
advice:
"No slapping without a
professional, please."
In past issues of Dynamic
Computer Solution's
newsletter we have offered advice on when to upgrade your server.

 |
This time we focus on avoiding the big mistakes once you do. There
are decisions to be made about hardware, software, network
connections and, perhaps, most important of all, whom to entrust
with getting it up and on its feet.
Make the right choice,
and your new server will be running smoothly from the first day. Make the
wrong choice and it won't. Committed "do-it-yourselfers", who
pride themselves in being "do-it-yourselfers", are inevitably the
most likely to end up calling in the cavalry.

Vulnerability
Management
Are You Prepared for
Hack Attacks?
We've all heard the alarming stories about
security breaches at data brokers, financial
organizations and high-profile retail
corporations, proving that even big companies
with big IT budgets aren't immune to data
pilfering. These incidents raise an unsettling
question: If thieves can victimize large,
resource-rich organizations, wouldn't hacking a
smaller, more vulnerable company be almost
effortless by comparison?
The obvious answer is yes.
That's why we can't urge you enough to be
more proactive about securing your data. Many of
you have taken heed and had your systems
assessed and fortified. Others of you haven't --
and are risking serious consequences every
business day.
With so much at stake, why aren't more
companies scrambling for network protection?
Here are a few reasons:

10
Reasons to consider using managed IT services
1. Predictable
Operating Costs.
Most companies, big or small try to do everything, including IT,
internally to reduce expenses. Doing this reduces the effectiveness of
the company to focus on what they make their money on, thus reducing
profitability.
DynamiCare
Pro
managed services plans reduce or
eliminate the time companies try to solve IT problems themselves which
allows them to make higher profits that are lost to un-productivity. We
can offer predictable operating cost that can be budgeted with no
surprises.
2. Do what you do
best.
Managed Services allows your company to focus on what makes you grow and
be more profitable versus getting bogged down with IT issues that only
stagnates growth, cause dissatisfaction among workers and intimately
lower profits.
3. Using
Organizational Resources Responsibility.
As a small business, you have to protect all your resources and
allocating them away from doing what serves your customers, and brings
in profits, can be devastating to the bottom line. Implementing a
DynamiCare
Pro
managed services plan protects those resources and keeps them on the
productivity track to success.
