The New FileMaker 10 Draws a Crowd

Over 30 enthusiasts got an exclusive look at the brand-new FileMaker 10 product line at the January meeting of the Philadelphia FileMaker User Group. Held at the Fort Washington, PA, headquarters of IT Solutions, this month’s meeting featured an informative presentation on FileMaker 10 by regional FileMaker Systems Engineer Matt O’Dell. The overview included an inside look and some hands-on demonstration of FileMaker 10’s more productivity-enhancing features.

Among the features highlighted:

  • Set Field By Name script step
  • Insert Tab Order
  • More comprehensive /improved ESS Support

Matt’s presentation was followed up by IT Solutions Certified FileMaker Developer Chad Sager, who offered a look at some interesting programming applications for new features in FileMaker 10. He's been experimenting with the product since the beta came out, and was excited to offer his thoughtful ideas on how some new features can really change the way people program.
